What are favers?
There are two ways to increase your list of favorite places and insider tips: add your own new earthfaves and fave existing ones.
Other people who like your earthfaves and add them to their list of faves are called favers. Having many people who fave your tips increases your level of trustworthiness and is free advertising for you.
What are followers?
If you’ve got amazing earthfaves to share, people are very likely to follow ALL your location recommendations instead of faving single ones.
earthfaves allows your "expert content" to appear in the local search results of the people that follow you under Results from people I follow", directly after local search results from their friends of friends.
What kinds of places can I add?
Any place in nature or business that’s worth recommending! And of course, the places you want your customers to know about,
places that have an interesting story: sights, nature, culture, events, places to eat, sleep, and party – places where people can have a good time.
I have a whole database of interesting places – can I "import" them?
Send us an Excel file to info[at]earthfaves[dot]com (see here for the right format), and we will turn your points of interest into earthfaves and/or places for you.
Please be patient as this process takes time, up to six weeks – if you need it fast, you can use our express import services for a 500€ fee and we will arrange it in a week.
We also reserve the right to decide how many and which places we turn into your earthfaves – you should offer an interesting selection.
How many earthfaves can I add?
While the number of earthfaves you can add is currently unlimited, our editorial team reserves the right to restrict database imports if we perceive a danger that you may cover a whole region with merely average points of interest.
Remember: earthfaves is about quality, not quantity. But if you have a whole database e.g. of lodging opportunities, we can always import them as "places" so that earthfaves users can find them easily.
Can I get a specific layout/design for the map?
At the moment we can only offer a selected number of sizes and colors as shown in the embedable map wizard. Let us know if you have particular wishes by sending an email to info@earthfaves.com.
Other solutions are possible, but we might have to charge you for that.
Can I sell my content as "Premium Package"?
Do you own a lot of valuable professional content? Why not share 10-20 percent of it for free as earthfaves – and then charge for the rest?

What if I want to send special offers to followers and favers of places in my region?
It is against our policy to send other earthfaves members unsolicited messages. We consider that spamming, and we strictly prohibit businesses to send messages to other users without their permission.
"Free Business" is a free user type that is not meant for business-customer communication, but only to reply to consumer questions.
If you want to be able to send special offers to people that have opted in to receive offers for the region(s)/topic(s) you promote, you will need to buy our "Silver" or "Gold" professional packages.

You don’t necessarily need to write extensive commentaries – a short sentence telling people what is special about the place will suffice.
Once you’ve created an earthfave for a place or added an existing earthfave to your list you’ve become that place’s faver. If other people find your earthfaves useful, they may also become their favers.
